Description:  Three student essays (high, medium and low) will be presented that focus on how the scaffolding tools of Essential Questions and sentence starters help students to construct argument.  

1) Inquiry-driven strategies that shift the focus to content.
2) Strategies for written discourse to help develop comprehension of academic discourse in literary analysis.

Take-Aways:  Several handouts to aid studnets in the construction of argument. 

Please Bring:  Paper and pen.
