Description: How do we best monitor student progress? What active participation strategies lead to deeper understanding for students? This workshop gives participants a chance to discover or review the foundational Elements of Instruction with the added lens of Common Core implementation.
Take Aways: Teacher participants will walk away with solid, effective ideas for increasing student learning with the Elements of Instruction. Administrators and ISes will walk away with an eye for what to watch for and observe in various classroom settings, so we encourage them to attend.
Participants bring: A booklet with the elements can be given to participants, but bringing a few lessons to digest and refine -- or a laptop full of lessons -- is always a good idea.
