Description:  Participants will use two popular online resources - TED Talks and the NY Times Online - to create engaging lessons that support Common Core State Standards in core subject areas.  Teachers will create their own TED-ED lesson and have time to explore NY Times Online and create a lesson using an article/feature from this site.  

Teachers should have laptops available and think of a subject/area of study they wish to enliven with a multimedia and/or current event feature.  

Take-Away:  Teachers will have knowledge of two dynamic resources they can use to create simple lessons that will engage students. They will leave with at least two lessons and/or lesson ideas using TED and NY Times Online.  

Please Bring:  Teachers should have laptops available and think of a subject/area of study they wish to enliven with a multimedia and/or current event feature.  Click on the resource button above for the TED learning blog.
