The topic for this presentation gives teachers a method for encouraging reflection among students and assists teachers in creating a community in which (1) learning is recognized as incremental and (2) assessments are largely an opportunity for students to communicate the depth of their knowledge to their teachers. The ideas are congruent to English Language Arts Standards for Writing in grades 11 and 12.
