Description: This session will look at how to use embedded reading to provide greater access to authentic texts. We'll also share strategies for how we use reading in the world language classroom and discuss the kinds of beginner novels that are out there and how to use them effectively.
Take-Aways: A google doc of resources that all participants can add to with their own resources. Some research from Stephen Krashen about how reading is the way to increase vocabulary rather than direct vocabulary instruction.
